Remembering the Real Gbs.

I was just thinking about a couple of my Favs episodes and I remembered that they were a team of kids that acted like Gbs and I thats the only thing I remember about that episode, but at the same time I remember that it wasn't just one episode, and I remember that the ecto 1 was a go kart I think.

Anyone can help?

Those are the Junior Ghostbusters. They existed in the later seasons for a few episodes I believe, when the series was Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters.

Their first appearances were in some of the 1987 ABC episodes, and they were one of the reasons JMS quit. He said he would only use them if he could “run over them with a truck”.

(Which at least one smartass fan fic writer actually did)

Thankfully, after 1987 they only appeared in the 1988 Slimer! cartoons, and some of the Now Slimer! comics.

There's some info about them in the 1987 writer's bible, available from the RGB box set special features, or at Paul Rudoff's site

There was a Slimer Cartoon in 1998???? Was it a sequal to XGB like the Slimer cartoon in 1988 was a sequal to RGB?

Lol…of course not. It was a typo, of course–the Slimer! cartoons were in 1988.:-)
