Renewed faith in Sony

When I heard about the new Ghostbusters comic I, along with everyone else, was very excited about it, with the new art work the stories and everything all very exciting. But then after the excitment died down I started really thinking about whats happening here, Sony, the people who most Ghostbuster fans have disliked for quite sometime. And then, out of the blue, here they are giving permission to another company to make the comic. I mean, after all these years of Sony almost destroying the Ghostbuster franchise with “Extreme Ghostbusters”, and how they treat the original Ecto-1. They might, if the comic does well, start respecting the Ghostbusters franchise, and no I don't mean “Ghostbusters 3”. I mean like fixing up both the Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A and displaying them in the park. Producing a GOOD Ghostbusters cartoon. And maybe even merchindise. I just think it's about time that Sony did something respectable with Ghostbuster, it was good back then and, hopefully it will be good with this upcoming comeback.

Well, thats my speil.

I dont' think Sony intentionally left our beloved Ectomobiles out to be slimed by the evil ghost of the rust bucket I think they were just putting it on the shelf and awaiting something to come along, which, thankfully our project DID come along, but I'm sure that they'll do something with it, I'm also sure that with the 20th Anniversary almost here (well, there's like a year left ), they were probably planning something, don't forget Sony isn't a small company with 10-15 employees, they are an international company with many divisions, and none of them are worried about keeping a prop up to spec with what the fans want it to be.

I mean yeah they could touch the paint up and all but still, we can't expect perfection from a company with many movies in the making, and prolly even more contracts and stuff to worry about rather then worry about a car, hell *I'd* restore the Ecto 1 for the cost of living expenses, and the cost of materials for it…but of course there's no proper channels for that

I like to think that Sony are leaving the vehicles out to deteriorate somewhat are to add to the realism if they do a Ghostbusters 3! They won't have to add fake rust and erosion effects, because the real deal has been implemented.

Well, I'm trying to think of the bright side of the situation.

I think its more about the money to Sony. They could care less about the fans, they are simply trying to milk the franchise for all its worth. But if that gets me new comics, books and posters. Then I guess that's ok. Just having the money for all this stuff is gonna be a problem. Cause I wanna get every single peice of new merchandise.
