Interesting choices, although I think Goldblum is too old in comparison to the rest of the cast; while Owen can probably sill pull of a 30 year old, Goldblum is now in his 50s.

And do list who each actor would be playing, some of the above could be playing anyone.

I whole heartedly agree that Ryan isn't a teen bopper and isn't doing every movie and then some… so he isn't ‘flavour of the week’, and the character he played isn't that hard to adapt as Venkman.

Goldblum might've been able to play Egon had a film been cast sooner, but he's already got the Jurassic Parks under his belt and such, doesn't necessarily need to get involved.

Def Mos was pretty good in Hitchhiker's, although I haven't seen enough of his work to know for sure if he'd be right for Winston.

Owen as Ray? Well, he's got a sorta mid-western charm that might work with Ray, but he's yet to play the bubbling enthusiast.

I just saw “just friends” and near the end of the movie Ryan Reynolds says “Im gonna miss him,” EXACTLY like Peter in GB I. This man IS Peter Venkman.

Joff Goldblum as Egon? YES!

But as for Winston, Im sorry. He's not a funny role. I don't think any comedian should play him, or any comedy actor. It needs to be someone straight up. Maybe the guy from Blues Brothers 2000.
