I just received 2 days ago my Proton Pack replica that I bought from eBay.

The person who sold it to me also bought it from someone else, and he did a great job packing it to avoid any damage.

But unfortunately, my pack arrived here all messed up thanks to the guys at UPS who opened the box for inspection and unwrapped the whole thing… and they don't even wanna respond for the damage they did.

My advice : never send anything with UPS… UPS sucks… if we don't use them let's hope they go out of business.

Future Shop here already found out they suck so they changed their delivery company from UPS to Purolator.

Replica PPacks are up on Ebay all the time, unfortunantly being a poor college student I cant afford any of them they usually go for about 500 up to about 2000 or more! so maybe after I graduate and get a good job I can pick one up, heres hoping.

Broken are the transparent tube on gun's edge and red wire, the huge black wire that attachs the gun to the proton pack, the black wood bars on the side and the metal part on top of the blue bar lights in the power cell, the small black wood squares on top of the proton pack, the metal tube on the center of the cyclotron.

Missing are the transparent tube on the gun's edge (I got part of it), 5 of the 6 wood bars on the side of the blue bar lights in the power cell and 2 of the 4 small black wood squares on top of the proton pack.

Bended are the metal part on top of the blue bar lights in the power cell and the cyclotron.

I already called 2 times to fill in a claim but they told me that the call must come from the shipper, so I am trying now to contact the person who sold the pack to me. Hopefully, I hope they won't tell him that “the call must come from the receiver”, and then they continue to throw the ball back and forward…

I hope he can fill a claim and send a guy from UPS here to check on the thing. I even got pics of the Proton Pack before buying it and all damage is visible. I also got all broken parts inside the banged box I received. I dunno if the people at UPS play soccer with the people's packages…

UPS surely does suck. I sold a proton pack replica earlier in the year for $2000.00. It was the most accurate proton pack I have seen to this day. It had all the lights and sounds and even the gun tip expanded just like the ones in GBI where they say make em hard! This thing was AWESOME. I packed her up and shipped her to Paris France. The guy bought her for two grand even and he emailed me when he got it… The thing was completely wrecked he said. It more or less turned into a model kit. Some assembly required I guess. Anyways I've never been able to get over that the best replica ever is in pieces somewhere. I bought it from a guy in NC that spent three years working on this thing with a team of people. So sad! Dodge UPS at all costs! I was actually talking to a friend the other day and he told me he knew guys that worked for UPS and it doesn't matter if you put fragile on the box they still throw the crap on the truck because they are in a hurry most of the time. BAD BAD BAD!

Hi there.
It's a sad thing for that Proton Pack. What did you do about it? Just so that I can have an idea of what I have to do.
For now, it seems that it all depends on the actions that the shipper will take against them, but I contacted him and he said that he called them, that UPS would contact me, and that there's nothing else he could do, so I am kind of afraid that this people will get away with that, which is something that I don't want. It would be really unfair if they don't make a refund for the damage they did on the thing. And I don't understand how comes the person who sold it to me told me that there's nothing else he could do if UPS told me that only he can file a claim. I insisted that it should be me because I paid for the thing but they keep telling me that it must be the shipper that has to file the claim because he sent the thing and he paid for the shipping, so it complicates things. It leaves me out of the picture without letting me take any action at all against them for what they did. For the moment all I have to do is wait for them to contact me.
I just hope that the person who sold me the Proton Pack helps me out so that they refund the damage they did.

As far as getting a refund for the damage UPS did on my replica Proton Pack, it seems very difficult… they are basically blaming the sender of “not securing the item appropriately”, while I know that the sender did a great job while packing the thing up… all I know is that after the customs inspection, it is basically UPS's responsability to make sure that the item is then secured appropriately again to avoid any damage… but for the looks of it I am more than sure that these guys were running around wearing my Proton Pack back at the warehouse and then just dropped it inside the box…

You can go here and check out the pictures I posted of the box where I received my Proton Pack… and if you wanna join in… then welcome aboard.

It might not make a big difference but at least some people will be aware of these company's horrible delivery service…
