RIP James Dio.

I was a big fan of the Electric Elves back in the day and am sorry to see him pass.

This is one of – if not THE – saddest day hard rock and/or metal will ever see. Ronnie was one, if not the, greatest voice in the genre – truly hypnotic, poetic, engaging… There will never be another Dio. Never. Probably the closest we have now is avid Dio fan Jack Black. I wonder how he's handling all this.

We'll miss you, Ronnie. :-( |m|

RIP Dio, he will be missed. An heavy metal era is over, a legend is born!

A salute to a lost legend. You will be missed

The sad part was, I just saw him on Tenacious D and the POD the day before.

“Dio has rocked for a long, long time…”

Not a huge metal fan, but but listen to enough to know that Dio will be missed. R.I.P.

Wow, still can't get over it. He looked like was making it through in the interview last month.

Long Live Rock and Roll!

When I saw the headline tours for heaven and hell announced I was sure things were on the up for him so it came as a bit of a shock really when my dad called me to tell me. I was genuinly under the impression he was on the way to recovery.

I was never a huge fan of any of the bands he was in personally, but did see Dio live with “Saxon” supporting a good few years back and they were brilliant. I had always hoped to get to see him perform again, but sadly won't have that chance now.
