The Rookie actually does speak in the game. He speaks one line: “Me too.”
You know I thought it wasn't him, but after playing the game again, it is him that says it. When does he say it? He says it right when they are about to cross the streams to destroy Ivo Shandor.

I watched it, I still don't hear it.
Is it BEFORE the cutscene or during it?
Because I don't want to have to go all the way through that fight again just to hear two words.

Ya, I have played that final battle and watched that scene several times at this point…and I have yet to hear it too..

It's during the cut scene….
before you fight Shandor in the Ghostworld, when Egon suggests the first attempt to cross the streams. He says something like, you have to switch the “stream modes” to be able to cross the streams, but the “current stream mode” won't turn off and everyone is responding that their packs wont switch over either. That's when the Rookie makes his only line of dialogue.

It is the small cutscene when you first fight Ivo Shandor. The yellow portal shows up to the ghost world and Egon suggest you guys cross the streams and that you should “turn off the stream mode so they can cross.”
It's very quick and hard to hear but I checked it several times to make sure I was not crazy and I am not. He does speak one and only one line of dialogue.
