Rusting RGB steel book...

I'm re-watching the set and I've noticed on the inside cover of the steel book for volume 2 is rusting. I removed disc 1 and 2 and I can see rust spots coming up through the diagrams. The rust is eating away at the diagrams but the front cover is fine.

I take very good care of my DVDs and Blu-rays with a few titles in steel books and they're all fine. I'm wondering if any of the other buyers of the Time-Life set have noticed any rust.

I will be asking Time-Life later on about a replacement but wanted to check in with other buyers first about their sets.

I haven't noticed this with my set, but haven't really looked that closely either.

I'll look out for this, thank goodness I'm in a humidity free state.

I order my time life set the day it was available for preorder and got it right on time. However, the book that came with the set was torn. I had to hassle them for quite some time and finally got my replacement at the end of last week. So it took about 7 months for me to get it all straightened out.

It looks like I'm out of luck. Time-Life has no replacement or order program set up for individual parts of the set. I have a feeling the fire house packing was a special case.

The customer service rep on the phone made it sound like Time-Life was moving away from DVDs in general.

I shall slowly watch the rust eat away at the interior artwork. Only if there was something new and shiny in the world of Ghostbusters to distract me from this horror… Video game you say?
