Seeking prices for packs

Hi there,

I'm interested in buying a reasonably accurate proton pack from someone with more DIY skill than I have. I've been around the net, and can't find anywhere that seems to sell them, which is why I've ended up here. I'm looking to check prices first of all to see if it's within my budget.

Can anyone quote a price for one, with and without electrics if possible?

Typically, you'll find a pack with no effects whatsoever will run about $500-600.

Add in lights, weathering, sounds, etc. and you're looking at $1000-1200.

I don't build packs myself, but I've also shopped around, and these are the prices you should expect to be met with.

There's a standard response we've prepared at GBFans for queries such as this:

Welcome to Ghostbusters Fans

This is probably the most asked question during the Halloween season.

“Where Can I Get a Proton Pack?”
First of all, it is important to know How much a Proton Pack Costs. Generally a very nice Proton Pack with Lights and Sounds will run you upwards of $3,000 dollars. A high quality Pack with just lights usually runs between $1500 and $2000 dollars. Crummy Proton Packs that aren't accurate and are made out of hosehold junk tend to go for below $1000. (These Proton Packs usually pop up around Halloween.) Additionally, there are inflatable Rubies Proton Packs that can be found at costume shops for around $50 (including a cheap looking “Flight Suit”).

Now that you are aware of the cost. Are you still interested?

There is a thread created in the Proton Pack forum with more information: Looking to Buy/Own/Build a Proton Pack?
