Woah, you're kinda mixing up the mythologies there.

Shandor was an achitect and doctor, not a painter (as far as has been established) He had nothing to do with the painting of Vigo, which was a self portrait created by the Carpathian himself.

Additionally, whilst I'd love to see a slightly more realistic version of Ecto-2, I don't imagine it'd really fit in.

I would love to revisit the Pneumatic Subway tunnels and Van Horne station, especially after seeing the unreleased multiplayer map.

*slaps self* Forgot that Vigo created the painting, himself. Been a while since I last watched both GB films.

It'd be awesome to get a more realistic version of the Ecto-2 in the game and re-visiting some GB2 locales. Van Horne/Pneumatic Transit, the courthouse and the Manhattan Museum Of Art would be great places to re-visit. I'd also like it if they included the Gigameter in the sequel. Although I'd love for Vigo to be back, the game would have to be careful to not retread either film too much although homaging both just enough to give it the same authentic feeling as the first game.

A stage where you control The Statue Of Liberty and maybe even battle it out with Stay Puft while in control of her would be fun, but it'd be hard to fit in, and bringing back Stay Puft would probably be redundant. Maybe you could commandeer Lady Liberty to fight another gigantic creature terrorizing the city?

The problem with these scenarios is that it's pretty much repeating what happens in the movies, but in game format. That was what people found was the problem was GB 2, it was pretty much like the first film happening in different scenes. And as much as I like Stay Puft, I don't think there's much of a point in having him back again, doing the same routine. It's way to repetitive that way.

I got the same impression playing the game. Re-visiting the Sedgwick Hotel (twice, no less) and having Stay Puft and Peck back and such, they were great nods and all, but definitely repeating some of what had been done before in the first film. Don't get me wrong, I loved all of this, but I can see how some people might be a little let down at locales and scenarios from the first two films being repeated again in the game (I even said to myself during the second hotel stage “Again? I was here before at the beginning”). I suppose it's all a matter of how they implement it all, though. I felt they homaged the first film in a good way without seeming too redundant and uninspired. For the game's sequel, it'd be nice to have it reference GB2 more by re-visiting locales like the courthouse, art museum, Van Horne, etc. and even bring back the likes of Vigo and the Scoleri Brothers, but it all has to be done in a way that's fresh, creative and also makes use of concepts not done before with these characters (like say, the full extent of Vigo's powers. I often see complaints about GB2's finale because Vigo goes down too easily. Maybe a video game can show just how threatening and difficult to defeat he can be when given the chance to get a big upper hand).

I'd like to see the GBs face off against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

now that would be awesome lol

“I often see complaints about GB2's finale because Vigo goes down too easily”

Such is the downfall of a villain that can be severly weakened by a large crowd of cheerful singers lol. Of course without the crowd outside the Ghostbusters would have lost because Vigo's power was keeping them 95% paralyzed, but still.

Anyway, I'm not really seeing a sequel beyond an official movie game when/if GB3 is made myself.

Honestly, I want a video game that is based on the cartoon. That would be awesome. And there's so many villains to choose from. Not that I didn't enjoy the game that was just released. I could only beat it on the easiest difficulty. I got to the museum on the normal difficulty but couldn't get passed it no matter how hard I tried.

(*peter)(*egon)(*ray)(*winston)(*_*):-) I think the game really did a great job of harckoning the first film, they really captured the “gothic” spirit of GBI which was a huge thing for Reitmen. I think that was a folly for GBII I think, they shied away from that visual, which I fell is a huge thing in the sucess of GBI. The game for the most part captured that, and kinda left GBII alone in alot of ways. Was it kind of lame to battle Stay Puft in the game? Yes and no, in some ways they would be insane not to throw him in there so I understand that. Vigo for the game just wouldnt have worked I feel. If they do make another game yeah maybe have Vigo in there somewhere but he'd more than likely have a cameo as Stay Puft did, as not bein a character that would be in the entire game which I feel no one is really askin for. A sand box game could work I feel but thats me. I personally love the GTA series and always have so I'm biased in that, some games that are sandbox arent as much fun to me like the first Bad Company which I felt was just shoot yur way through stuff until the next cutscene. In all I feel another game would be great but in all honesty if we did get to drive Ecto-1B we'd be bitchin about somethin about that and so on, so I really cant say what to put in the next game. Just IMHO stray away from not havin the original cast in there. If Murray doesnt want to do it fine get a voice actor who sounds like him coz thats fine as long as we get another great game.

P.s. I dunno if I took it wrong, but the idea of a sandbox game bein lame because you would have to bust the same ghosts after awhile is not really all that great an argument as in GB:TVG you destroy the same ghosts over and over again so there really isnt a way to get around this. Plus you have to think its just a game and you have to take little things on the chin for sake of the game and just get lost in the awesomness of you finally bein able to become a Ghostbuster!

These are just my opinions and I hope I have not offended anyone.

I would love to see a Real Ghostbusters game as well. But because of the damn copyright issues it's probably not gonna happen.
