Right, well, as soon as your picture is hosted, to get it to show up here you have to use the following coding:
You just insert the image link between the two boxes and in most cases it should work. This is the same method for a signature banner if you don't need it to also act as a link button to another page.

That's your problem.
No I'm not being harsh… basically, you can't host photos on GBN, you need to upload them to an alternative source and then link to them in the manner that Kinpin mentioned. www.imageshack.us is an ideal image hosting service that will provide you with a link for purposes such as this.

Once the image is uploaded at Imageshack, use the code under the ‘Direct’ option.
However I've found that whenever I need to use a thumbnail because the image is too big, I use the ‘Thumbnail for Forum’ which has the ‘url’ prefix in full capital letters.
