although as I understand it there's already a spin on the sedgewick bust at the start of the game - maybe an exact reeactment would be slightly redundant.

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

Its my understanding that Slimer is being kept in a separate containment unit, and being studied by Egon. He occassionally escapes, and as it was described “Where would be the first place he'd go? ……….. The Sedgewick Hotel, best buffet in town.”

It's clever, I like it.

I think that's ace - placates the RGB heads without over kiddifying the movie universe. Also explains slimer's occasional presence in GB2.

really good way of fixing a plot hole!

I dunno about that… unless they actually verbally say that the experiments with Slimer began before 1989… otherwise, its still Slimer just kinda hanging around the firehouse for no real reason.

I definitely like the concept though, keeping him around, but not in a kiddy way.

It does work as a bit of retrospective explanation if you want it to though - even if only in a “oh, that's why he was there, he must have got out” kind of way. Like the flying lessons in Die hard 4 explaining away the Helicopter chase at the end of Die Hard 3 (McClane suddenly isn't scared of flying!) it could work if you wanted it to, but wouldn't matter if you didn't think of it.

Anyway yeah, I'm mostly down with the concept over the continuity - I have a soft spot for the little guy!

“The Ghostbusters Meet Willy Wonka”…hey! it could happen!

Or, perhaps, “The Ghostbusters Meet Young Frankenstein”…whoops, sorry, wrong Ghostbusters again.
