Slimer

So I was watchings some old gameplay footage of the game that has been out for some time and it was the part where they are trying to recapture Slimer…all I gotta know is…is that Frank Welker's voice playing slimer? or am I imagining things.

If I am not imagining things…do you think thats how it will be in the game or do you think thats just a temp voice?

Hmm… he doesn't really say enough in that clip for me to be sure. And if Slimer's not a major character but just a random ghost who after being trapped on a early level doesn't make any more appearances in the game, then it doesn't really matter to me who voices him.

I don't see them changing his voice between now and the final version of the game as how it is at present is perfect.

It maybe just my imagination, but the yells and grunts made by slimer sound very similiar to the vocalization Frank Welker did for the character in RGB. But Like I said it could just be my imagination…or possibly intentional on the game creators part?

Wouldn't surprise if it were a little nod to RGB, one way or another the show's depiction of Slimer has become ingrained in the collective conciousness… to have Slimer without a high pitched voice would probably seem odd after how he's been depicted.

That was also a throught. That itwas a plcehold voice they used for development.

Personally I don't like the idea of busting Slimer being part of the plot (Louis was the only one who cared in GB2 that he was there in the HQ) If it was a flashback, training level, or unlockable bonus level ok but his being out was a continuity point established in RGB and carried thru to GB2 and XGB.

Some of the magazines have said that you're solely accompanied by Venkman on this first traing bust, which kind of fits the mythos. Of all of them, he'd be the most likely to give it a second try!

Others have suggested Egon and Ray are at the hotel, so it's anyone's guess…
