Slimer is very childlike. When those thiefs in the crimebuster eposide asked him to disable the security alarm he did without asking questions, Then he saw his ghostbuster friends and waved at them. they even had an eposide when slimer ate peters watermelon and they issued a spanking.

As for how he died, slimer was a child he was only ten years old. He died because he could not take the sexual abuse inflicted from his father. He killed himself. This is how Casper The Friendly Ghost died also, killed him because he could no longer take the sexual abuse from his father. Now the ghostbusters molest him.
