It's not really a “green light short of a green light”. It doesn't specifically refer to Ghostbusters III, only the Ghostbusters franchise… It's been mentioned that Sony has plans to relaunch the franchise at the Expo, this isn't any more of an official confirmation then what we've been hearing for the past year.

I'm hoping ‘relauch the franchise’ doesnt mean a remake. i saw on the Dan Akyroyd fan page on FB that theres a promising quote, thought i dont know when he said it, or if he did. it said Re: GB3 - I'm really happy to be back in the trenches working on something real. The premise is good, the story is good. It looks promising.

Could it mean a better blu ray release? i don't know why i even ask cause thats highly unlikely
