So, this guy Bin Laden is dead...

I'm just staying out of this whole argument about Bin laden, just cause it'll turn into a pissing contest. However, I do know that the US Government have lied to their people before. This is a fact. What's to stop them from doing it again?

Example, the Roswell Crash. The Official Story was that it was a “weather balloon.”

However, this J Edgar Hover memo, that was official released through the FBI a month ago differs from the original story.

The FBI knows about UFO's and even talked about the aliens that were inside the crafts that were recovered.

That's not a conspiracy, that's a fact.

Also, for anyone with a brain would question the declassified file called Operation Northwoods in which America would attack its own people to go to war with Cuba. It's disgusting to me that America would even think about attacking their own people? If they were going to lie to their own people before, what would stop them now?

PS. Wouldn't killing Bin Laden help Obama's current popularity polls?

I'm out. BigMac, you've got my support brother! (I'll PM ya soon dude)

You want to hear something stupid? A guy I worked with on my last job believes bin Laden is a white guy with a beard! Although he also thought that we never have and never will go to the moon! I really didn't like him at all!
Anyway, I'm glad he's been caught but I think the computers and such will give the FBI, The CIA, etc. the info they need to stop future attacks as bad as 9/11.

I’m surprised he talked about his bin Laden theory and the moon landing with people at his workplace.

I believed NASA had landed astronauts on the moon while in high school. But in college I had to give a presentation about a “controversial” issue, and chose the moon landing as my topic. I thought it would be interesting to research the evidence that it was a hoax, and give a presentation based on what I had discovered. In the end, the evidence of a hoax was too compelling, and so I gave a presentation to support the conspiracy theories.

It’s interesting to visualize the distance. For example, half an inch off a one foot globe is how far from the earth they’re going today, but during 1969, they went to the moon, which would be 30 feet off that one foot globe.

It’s also interesting to look at what NASA is doing today. For example, NASA uses the Hubble telescope to examine ultraviolet light reflecting from the moon in order to determine what kind of minerals are on its surface. But NASA has around 400 kilograms of moon rocks from multiple locations on the moon.

Please keep this discussion to the death of Bin Ladin. Just because there are some conspiracy theories that've been generated concerning the way he died doesn't mean there's a free pass to start posting about any and all other popular conspiracy theories.

Again, you have yet to comment on why we would make this up. If he's alive, why would we say he's dead? What would we gain out of that?
I now suspect that one reason is to help end discussions about 9/11. His death is used by many as a reason why people shouldn’t discuss and investigate 9/11. Their excuse is that bin Laden was responsible, he is now dead, the event is over with, and so there is no need to think about 9/11 anymore.

The removal of the 9/11 conspiracies thread on this message board is an example of this. Discussing 9/11 on this site was allowed before bin Laden died, but not after. The thread wasn’t even left on here for people to see.

If Lee Oswald had been recently killed, would his death be a reason to stop discussions about JFK assassination conspiracies? Would discussions about the conspiracies be removed from message boards?

Santa Claus and Bigfoot? Yea, you'll convince people that you have a real case for believing that bin Laden wasn't actually killed by making jokes like that.
Maybe I could be more convincing if I release a fake photo of bin Laden still alive.

The fake photo was as senseless as the disposal of the body. What was the point of it? Did they conclude that authentic photos would upset terrorists, but unauthentic photos wouldn’t? But what sense is there in releasing an unauthentic photo? If everyone knows the photo is unauthentic, then it has no value. And if everyone believes it’s authentic, then it has the same significance as an authentic photo.

Discussing 9/11 on this site was allowed before bin Laden died, but not after.

Firstly, because it hadn't descended into conspiracy theory maddness for the most part, secondly, the Admin felt that with Bin Laden's death, the chapter in history could finally be closed.

The topic is not going to be brought back to the public part of the forum because I don't have any interest in any more time being given to the 9/11 conspiracy theories, or contravening the decision of the Admin.

Please stop bringing it up.
