I have available for sale, unmodified and still working as a microphone, the Tandy Radio Shack Realistic model 33-1065 dual electret microphone that was used to make the Giga Meter prop seen in Ghostbusters II.
(*egon) The 2 pivoting microphone element heads are the silver slotted cylindrical things that stick out the front of the prop. For the prop, the microphone elements were removed and red lights installed in their places. Also, the heads were animated with servos to move back and forth.
This microphone was discontinued about 1992 (I think) and is no longer available from Radio Shack. It's getting very hard to find; I checked eBay recently and could not find one in active or ended listings.
This is the last one that I have of the four that I started with. It is in very fine, lightly used condition complete with box, instruction/spec sheet and pair of foam windscreens. Battery cover and flip-down stand are present and intact; very slight corrosion at tip of battery spring has been cleaned off.
