Soundtrack of the game.

I know some games get soundtracks sometimes. I know some music of Elmer Bernsteins score is in the game. But ghostbusters is also well know for the pop music. I was wondering if they would make a special soundtrack as well. With some new tracks on it of course. I remember that I've bought a james bond game once and it wasn't connected to the movie but they made specially a whole new and great openings song for it.

I would love to hear at least one of ray parker jr versions of the theme song in it. Maybe some rock and roll in the style of the bus boys.

Hope this game will get a great soundtrack.

To borrow ideas from elsewhere on the board:

Have current big-name bands (who happen to be fans) cover tracks from the 2 movies, plus RPJr covers a new version of his Oscar-nom'd classic.

Since the game takes place in ‘91, wouldn’t we be getting treated to some early 90's jams like Vice City supplies 80's tunes?

It'd certainly make more sense in setting the mood… there's plenty of great tracks from the early 1990s that can work, and the bonus: they'd probably cost less to use than today's tracks from the current artists.

I've heard rumours once that Will Smith would do a cover version of ghostbusters. Maybe he can produce a new mix.
