Spambot invasion

It looks like we are under invasion from spambots, I advise all of you NOT click any links to anything they link too at all, for both Worksafe reasons and computer security and mental security.

Wait until the Admins can give some fire support and banhammer these things.

What kind of jackass comment is that? (*egon) We were the ones who were cleaning the stuff up constantly, until the problem was dealt with. This is a new wave of spambots that are getting past the security setup that solved the previous problem.

I'm as frustrated that we've had to endure the spambots for as long as we have… but the Admin have outside lives as much as the rest of us.


EDIT: Well I've been in talks with Chad and he's hoping to have it sorted shortly.

Hi all, The Ghostbusters Message Board has been updated and we should no longer have to deal with the spam bots. I apologize for the trouble it has caused and I am working hard on Ghostbusters.net 2.0 so all of this nonsense will be in the past.

I just avoided getting a virus from a YouTube embedded video.

Haven't had any spam yet on phpBB 3.0…

In all seriousness, the Spambots have definitely decreased. Not getting porn links with viruses at least.
