I can't believe this. If I had the whole Ghostbusters outfit (Utter coolness) sitting in my closet collecting dust, I would throw together a costume party and do my part to get people thinking Ghostbusters again. This is a shame that people here wont try their best to get the media back on top of this bad boy. THEY CONTROL THE MINDS OF MILLIONS!!!. I'm just crazy enough to paint a no ghost sign on my chest and start running around outside like a mad man, only I'm too friggin poor to afford any paint. Come on. I'm very dissapointed this is how many of you here feel. Damnit. Whatever.

We can all do our part by hooking younger siblings or relatives….

I think even if we managed to spark enough interest to have Sony reconsider, Bill Murray won't budge either way, he's had it set in his mind going on 13 years now that he's not gonna make a third movie because he just doesn't want to…the franchise rights made him rich beyond his wildest dreams! wink

ok well since nobody wants to get info on covention centers I'd thought that i would start. There is a convention center that has over 100,000 square feet of carpeted floor for vendors. About 27,000 square feet for presentations and junk like that. And not to mension a pre-view room, so I thought about showing Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2. This is in Pennsylvannia. Any interest please let me know, I'm dead serious about doing this. They are letting pro proppers sell things and fans dress up and show off. I would like to get some serious answers on if I should continue. If so you can expect a site to be up by October at the most w/ all info. The costs will come out of spectators and vendors for the spots.

Why not host the convention in Vegas? They host a lot of conventions down there.

StayinPuft is right, and like i said earlier its not that we don't want one, its that even if one happened A LOT of ghostheads would not be able to make it. thats the reality, it doesn't make us anyless of a fan

With the right corporate money to sponsor it, sure, it could work.

After all, look at Metropolis, Illinois as your paragon of hope. It's a small town just north of Paducha (Quilt capitol of the world), Kentucky, but holds an annual Superman festival and convention. From some of the Superman Web sites I've seen, they attract the ‘78 movie, ’50s television stars to sign autographs. They hold screenings. It's probably how the DVD re-release got kick-started for the ‘78 movie (a classic).

So give it a shot. A bunch of people running around in gray jumpsuits with prop-proton packs? Can’t be that much worse than the Star Trek nerds with pointed ears AND sideburns…

Fletch…as far as you know…
