Didn't I post this in the main discussion thread? Who the hell moves posts without reason or justification?

People keep moving my posts, and I'll post 50 in a row in whatever thread I damn well choose.

Now please, anyone seen OSB?

I moved your post. I would have posted an explanation but I was in a rush and wanted to do what I had to on the board and leave. This thread IS off topic, it's about a user, it either blongs here or in board talk. It is not about discussing Ghostbusters films, cartoons, merchandise, news, or anything ghostbusters for that matter.

Post 50 threads in a row out of protest and you'll find yourself in trouble.

I think you'll find that this move had both reason and justification.

“Find myself in trouble?” Ah, classic GBN stuff, Sheriff S.

My post IS about Ghostbusters, and it's about a member here. It's not about cheeses, about Cloverleaf, about drag racing, or about Comedy Central; it's about tracking down a GBN member who purchased a screen-used prop from myself some time ago.

You know damn well that the main forum is the first place most people look, so it makes absolute sense to post it there. But hey, if you want to stick with the 735th fanboy orgy about “what if Egon married Janine,” then so be it.

“Find myself in trouble.” How ridiculous.

Of course you'll find yourself in trouble for God's sake. You'll be past trading blows with me and you'll be getting the admins irritated with you and then you will face suspension or banning. I was not threatening you, I was stating a fact. Spamming to that degree wil certainly get higher level attention. I moved your post, so bloody what. Maybe the General forum IS the place most people look, so WHAT? If everyone put their post in the General forum, because most people would look there, then we may as well not have catagories.

Now personally, I feel I made a mistake, I personally feel I should have moved this to board talk, but as I said, I was in a rush. Even now as you say it's about tracking down a member, I still think BOARD TALK. Last time I checked, we're not Ghostbusters.

Now, I would really appreciate if we could just leave this now and you can get on with monitoring this topic for signs of OSB.

Anyway, I'd prefer Constable to Sherriff, a bit more British.

And now you know what I mean about Proptopia being a cool place to hang out because you can post things anywhere without “getting in trouble” lol.

I said he'd end up in trouble for spamming, not posting things in the wrong place…

Greg, I really think you're being out of line and taking it way too personally.

I'm not privvy to what was posted in the original message, but it seems that the connection to Ghostbusters wasn't clear enough if Iain felt it had to be moved… I trust Iain and I stand by whatever decision he felt was the right one as, chances are, I probably would've moved it to Miscellaneous or Board Talk.

And I'd really advise against “posting 50 posts in a row in whatever thread” you “damn well choose”… I mean, are you serious? We've reprimanded troublemakers for doing that because that's spamming the forum. I don't know why you need to get in contact with OldSchoolBuster about that prop so quickly but I doubt that would justify such action and reckless abandon. That sort of action should also be beneath you.

Keep in mind, once upon a time it was discouraged to even post requests to talk in the public forums. That isn't really enforced anymore but I know I'd probably find it irritating to see the requests from you to talk to that user in places like the Fan Projects forum, or the Ghostbusters game forum.

According to OSB's profile, his last post was logged on November 21st, 2007. Whilst that puts him on here within the last two/three months… it doesn't mean he's posting here any longer so it might mean that had you posted all those duplicates, then it would've been for nothing.

Unfortunately there's no email contact for him, so you could only send him a Private Message and hope for the best, and a PM would likely stand a better chance of being seen by him then a request you'd made which might've slipped to the bottom of the forum page before he saw it… should he ever log on here again.

On a final note, gbmasterman:
The difference between here and Proptopia is Proptopia isn't meant to be a Ghostbusters site, that just happens to be one of the main subjects of discussion. The General Ghostbusters forum is for the discussion of general GB topics and related items… And regardless of the greater freedome due to the smaller number of topics, there's still a good sense of what should be posted in which forum on Sean's site.

I trust there's no more issues arising from this that need be discussed, yes?
