I actually played the Beta of LotRO weeks before it's release….I was thoroughly unimpressed.

You played a beta and based all of your opinions on that?

The game has come a long way since then.

Sure, the game doesn't have massive PvP, but that is far from a good MMO.

I stand by my opinion that LOTRO is superior to other MMOs. If you want to be “thoroughly unimpressed,” play Pirates of the Caribbean Online.

The Irony in that statement is I DID play PotC:O for a review on a now defunct website. And I agree it was unimpressive…but what do you expect it's marketed to the ADD youngin's

As far as LotR:O, I am sure it has come along way since I played the Beta…Beta are usually crap anyway. I just never got deep into the works of Tolkien so the game really wasn't for me.

Like I said, I am still looking forward to WAR…gonna go kills some Empirez as a Chaoz..woot

While we are on the subject of MMO's though…I was having a conversation with some ex-WoW Guildmates who were telling me about a GM on Conan who was duped into Cybering with a Guy.

I had high expectations for the game before they said that you begin the game as a captain. Now, im in a mess. I have mixed feelings and I have less expectations.

Man, I really hope ST:O turns out better than I feel it will. (;_
