What I mean is this:

Players can have the same ship names as each other. You should, however, never see this duplicate ship names. According to early news by the dev's whenever you zone in, one of the prereqs the game uses when “randomly” choosing a shard to place you it is whether or not a ship with your name is in the shard….supposedly.

Whether that's true or not…I dunno. All I can say is that I have yet to see a ship with the same name of my ship…but then again…I have weird names for ships.

An oddity is players cannot own 2 ships of the same name…but the game to assign you a randomly named ship with the same names…weird eh?

Ah, okay, good, cause like I said, I'm sure someone somewhar has a ship with that name, and yes, the game is weird like that.

Also, wow, both Kotaku and GameFAQs has people complaining about the game, but then, those two sites just have a lot of complainers in them.

Wanna see people complaining about the game? Go see the video comments on Gamespot. All the vids prior to release had comments about how bad the game was and how crappy it looked.

As far as people complaining….a lot of them are just made that STO isn't WoW in space.

Ah, it looks fine to me, granted, there are a few things they could fix, mainly from what I hear enemies camp on your spawn points and constantly kill you, which is annoying.

Bleh, WoW, the less said about that the better.

As Stupid as this may sound, the mobs propagating at the spawn points was intentionally placed in the game as a form anti-AFK

Well, if that's the case, I hope they don't add a stiffer death penalty like all the EVE rejects want then, cause there be a lot of death and I don't like even thinking of losing my ship.

Also, I loled at one of the comments about this game not lasting for 2 years. Um, morons, City of Heroes is made by the same company and good lord, that game is still going strong.

While it is true that Cryptic made CoH, they haven't been in control of CoH since 2007.

Not to worry about the death penalty, STO's current death penalty is THE most lax I have ever seen. You die, 10 seconds later you respawn at the nearest respawn point with about half health, and if in space power and shields that immediately starts to refill to full. You are suppose to loose crew if you die in space (which inhibits your ability to heal and transfer power…essentially making your ship less effective every time your die) but they too can confusingly respawn over time.

Personally, I think they should add a WoW-ish durability system…or actually make crew work the way it is supposed to and that would do nicely

They are currently looking into a better death penalty as even the Devs themselves think that it is more lax than it was planned on paper

Well, I hope the death penalty isn't to stiff, cause if it is, they need to fix the enemies camping on your spawn points, badly.
