Anything really, I have no experience with photo editing, but I am ok with picking things up tech wise, so mainly the most user freindly program (sorry im kinda bad at this stuff) (edit)

ok let me try and make more sence (sorry I said I was usless.) Say I have a video, is there anyway to easily do proton stream effect's, Im not talkin like movie quality just somthing to get the point across. (sorry like I said, im not very tech wise, but I'm ok at picking stuff up)

Ok now the next thing one must know is what program(s) you have to use to perform the task. Do you have Adobe premire, adobe after effects, and final cut pro? Need more info.

i reccomend not worrying about Proton effects, if your not willing to have the proper programs.

Photoshop pays for itself whether you've obtained it legally or through a friend. Even if you only originally got it for one thing simply knowing how to use it gives you skills you can use for a job and even a career.
And those listed programs are some of the industry standard, if you want to try make a reasonable/good looking proton stream you will need a decent program.
