Another resurected thread from the newbie!

Anyway, regarding rankings, I wasn't here to see it cause trouble in the previous iteration of this board. I've only seen ranking cause trouble with one or two boards where one or two people will get on someone's case about how they're an oldbie and therefor should be more respected or how a person could be an oldbie on an MB, then get modded on an MB that was on the same site because heaven forbid, the admin trusted the person…and even then it was just a few getting upset about the situation. Very rarely have I seen a board that had spam wars just to get the post count up (the one that did was great fun though–we have a thread specifically for spam, so it's all conveniently located in one place where no one has to see it if they don't want.)

Other MBs I've been at have had great fun with the rankings, but most people got a personalized title long before they reached the highest ranking on the board.

Then again, personal titles are a pain in the butt to impliment on a phpBB, and with so many people, giving out personal titles would get tedious fast…
