First off, I must say this is a fantastic game. GREAT-GREAT-GREAT story, and good way of tying up movies 1 and 2.
The library level has to be the best level in this game. PERIOD! Makes you feel creeped out, and wonder if there could really be parts of a buildings interior, one has never seen before.
Skanker if you are reading, maybe you can answer this. Is there any chance of a sequel? I know this game is going to sell well. I just know it.
However, if a direct sequel cannot be made, here are some ideas for you to feel free to take and use in any further installations should you be able to make one.
1. Ghostbusters sequel. Sandbox. No voice actors, or soundalikes.
2. Sequel. Linear. VA come back or soundalikes (whichever is easier to get the game made, you got my 60 bucks after this excellent game. Franchise anyone?)
3. Ghostbusters games based on the first movie, but expand the story (those montage scenes are good for something. Can you say dance club level where the boys in gray duke it out with a pesky poultergeist, and then dance the night away with some lovely ladies?) Maybe even a game based on part 2, where again the montages can be used to expand the story into various levels.
4. Ghostbusters game based off of The Real Ghostbusters. Have a really good story, maybe created by the some of the show's best story writers, and just use the same engine.
There are so many possibilities now that this game is out, for Atari and TR to have a potential franchise on their hand(s). You gotta keep ‘em coming.
I’m close to finishing this game a third time, in just three days (first day on normal,) yesterday on casual and right now on Professional to finish out all of the achievements.
This game has a story that I think is way better than movie 1 and 2. Heck I kind of wish this game was a movie, because some of the ideas would look good on screen. However, as a game it rocks too. I just didn't expect the story to be this good.
KEEP EM COMING PLEASE!!! I'm ready for more.
