Suggestions on another game. Skanker you there?

First off, I must say this is a fantastic game. GREAT-GREAT-GREAT story, and good way of tying up movies 1 and 2.

The library level has to be the best level in this game. PERIOD! Makes you feel creeped out, and wonder if there could really be parts of a buildings interior, one has never seen before.

Skanker if you are reading, maybe you can answer this. Is there any chance of a sequel? I know this game is going to sell well. I just know it.

However, if a direct sequel cannot be made, here are some ideas for you to feel free to take and use in any further installations should you be able to make one.

1. Ghostbusters sequel. Sandbox. No voice actors, or soundalikes.

2. Sequel. Linear. VA come back or soundalikes (whichever is easier to get the game made, you got my 60 bucks after this excellent game. Franchise anyone?)

3. Ghostbusters games based on the first movie, but expand the story (those montage scenes are good for something. Can you say dance club level where the boys in gray duke it out with a pesky poultergeist, and then dance the night away with some lovely ladies?) Maybe even a game based on part 2, where again the montages can be used to expand the story into various levels.

4. Ghostbusters game based off of The Real Ghostbusters. Have a really good story, maybe created by the some of the show's best story writers, and just use the same engine.

There are so many possibilities now that this game is out, for Atari and TR to have a potential franchise on their hand(s). You gotta keep ‘em coming.

I’m close to finishing this game a third time, in just three days (first day on normal,) yesterday on casual and right now on Professional to finish out all of the achievements.

This game has a story that I think is way better than movie 1 and 2. Heck I kind of wish this game was a movie, because some of the ideas would look good on screen. However, as a game it rocks too. I just didn't expect the story to be this good.

KEEP EM COMING PLEASE!!! I'm ready for more.

I think they left it open for another game with out the VA. Remember what the guys talked about during the end credits?

Well here's hoping any new game has as good of a story as this.

I do hope that the cast sees how well this game does (and it will,) and wouldn't mind lending their voices again.

I know another game based on the movies would be cool, but a Real Ghostbusters video game would be awesome. They could do so much with it figuring all the creatures and ghosts that are in that lore. Come on, you don't want to chase after the Boogeyman in the Boogeyman's alternate dimension or enter the citadel of SamHain?

Yah know what, even if this is the only GB game we get, I'm more than satisfied with it.

If through some miracle we get a sequal, I'd like it to be a new, original concept but utilize the wrangling kind of gameplay from this one. This game really hit the nail on the head with the controls for Ghostbusting.

Kinda like how RE5 feels like an upgraded version of RE4.

I think one based on Flip Side switching between New York & Boo York would be bad-ass!

I would like to see a game based off RGB with the remaining voice actors (No Slimer spin-off nonsense - It would have to be like the first few seasons).

Another game like this. I'd like to see the guys and Annie Potts come back, along with Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis. Bill Murray did warm up to Ghostbusters again after doing voiceover for this, so hopefully getting him to return isn't a definite “no” anymore.

I want an Ecto-1 level. Drive it to jobs, or have action sequences where you can drive (on rails) or shoot/tap during a high speed chase.

I love the laugh to scare ratio in this game. It found the perfect balance. Continue on this part of the game.

The beam and slime weapons were great, but certainly, there's something else that can be done past the Meson blaster. I tried to use it for a lot of situations. It seemed the most out of place and was largely ineffective in comparison.

I'd really have to think about it, honestly. As someone else said, if this is the only GB game that can be made like this, what a great ride it was.

I'm just curious. I don't think this is necessarily a bad idea… but what makes you want that. So much of what made this game great was the fact that the old boys were back in character and the humor was there. With no voice actors, you'll lose the comedy aspect to Ghostbusters, which, as GuyCC said the comedy/scare ratio is something that makes this fantastic.

My suggestion is just make another game. How about “THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS: The Video Game”?

Getting the RGB voice actors back together for anything wouldn't be difficult at all, I imagine. (Unfortunately, it'd have to be Coulier since Lorenzo's gone)

Oh, and as for this:

It appears that Moranis is retired from acting. Completely. Forever. And who needs Louis Tully anyway? He was unnaturally shoehorned into the plot of GB2 in the first place. Should not have been a recurring character.

I honestly would love another iteration just like this game. A new story with the same boys, maybe a few new inventive new equipment types, or even alterations of the current new sets of equipment.
