Temporary Spam Bot Rant - Replying to Spam Posts

I've said this before in the main Spam thread, and I will say this one more time.

Do not. Under ANY circumstances reply to a Spam post. This means no replying to Spam Threads, and ESPECIALLY no replying to spam posts in already existing threads.

The other moderators and I are making sure that this forum is not overwhelmed by a flurry of Spam posts and viral links. There are LITERALLY over 100 spam posts a day, at MINIMUM. I know this, because on average I'm deleting fifty plus per day, and the same can be said of other moderators.

Now, it's a lot smoother when we can see exactly WHICH threads spam bots have replied to.

I appreciate the desperation to post, but please, wait until the thread has been cleared up.

Thankyou.

I know im new to the forum, but is there anything i can do to help with the spam posts? I know dont reply and all that good stuff. So if the mods need any extra help, ill be more then willing.

The most efficient way is to post the links of the user and the topic in Sinister's posts. That way the moderators can quickly locate the problem. Sinister is not exaggerating when he says how many bots post daily. The problem has been handled very well by the mod staff considering the volume of posts. Alot of credit also goes to the members who have posted links to assist the moderators.

Is it a virus or something? There should be some kind of anti-bot protection.

Btw, I'm a member of a few other forums and spambots only attack these type of forums(not sure what the name of the host is)
