“Those who would tear this world down, we will defeat you.”

I've honestly never been moved or brought to tears by very much… but hearing PRESIDENT Barack Obama's speech almost brought tears to my eyes.

I did not vote for barrack obama but the majority has spoken and I will be respectful about his win and will not complain and say congratulations and call him president when he is inaugurated.

It really was a great speech. The Obama Presidency looks promising, but only time will tell.

And on a GB-related note, did anyone else notice “Higher and Higher” playing at the rally not long before Obama made his victory speech? If I'm not mistaken, it even sounded like the version played in GB2.

Haha, yeah, no, I did not vote for him, so, yeah, not thrilled about it.

actually he played that at a lot of his rallies towards the end of the campaign. At least that's the only time I heard it on the news broadcast.

Actually I have the GBII soundtrack on my MP3 player… as soon as I heard the news I rolled down my windows and just blasted Howard Huntsberry's version of “Higher And Higher”.

On that note, a couple of months back I spoke to one of his campaign advisors, telling him, “Y'know… whenever I heard ‘Higher and Higher’, I used to think of the toaster scene from ‘Ghostbusters II’, but now I immediatly think of him,” which he got a laugh out of him.

I couldn't vote for Obama, cos I'm a brit and we have our own elections, but I was happy when he won, I felt dead smart sitting in bed watching Sky News in the morning!
