If we don't hear about the game going gold by the middle to end of September then it won't come out in October. It takes a few weeks to produce the disks and get them all together. So if we don't hear of a publisher by then, and that it has gone gold. Don't expect it in October or even this year.

Pretty much this, if we don't hear anything about any of the games going Gold by then, we're damn well out of luck this year.

What is “going gold”?

Definition: A term used when the game has reached completion and is ready to be published.

and

when a game goes “gold” it means that the game is finished. It's complete. It's ready to go. The developers have created their master disc (called the gold disc) and they've shipped it off to the publisher, who mass-produces copies, packages them, and ships them off to the stores.

with the game having to be so nearing completion (at the most they should have to do is some minor bug checking) i highly doubt they wont launch it soon. It makes no sense what so ever to sit on a product with mass appeal and loads of profit, for no other reason. Im sure they have found a publisher by now, and in all likelyhood are just hammering out some minor details.


That said and done, if there is no new anouncement by the time the force unleashed is launched (september 15th, one month from now) then, your best bet has to be june of 2009.
