Hey guys, new member here, but long long time fan of Ghostbusters. today I watched the blue ray special feature of the restoring of ecto1 from the movie. My question is, is it now on display? if so, where? Also, how about ecto1a from ghostbusters 2? is that still rotting away on a Sony backlot, or is it being restored also? and how bout the original proton packs? are they tucked away in a sony warehouse? i was recently at universal studios NYC, (i live about 25 min outside of nyc) and they had the original uniforms, the trap, and a stunt foam pack from the movie on display, but none of the “hero” packs. Thanx for any info guys. :-)

The Ecto-1 was recently at a midnight release party for the GB game in Texas. It makes occasional apperances at various cons and car shows. As I remember the Ecto-1 restoration went way over budget and bit into the portion saved for the 1A. You can briefly see 1A parts in the documentary. It is in the shop and stripped but not work as been done it recently. There are recent pics of the hero packs and slime blowers on the official Ghostbusters website. They are kept in storage. We have no idea how many packs and uniforms are left. Several uniforms have been auctioned off the last several years.
