I've started the tedious work of scripting, but I still have no visual materials to work with. I can't get too far without them.

As I've said to your in our own conversations, I can copy pictures from the New GB II NES game and edit them slightly, but that's as far as I can go if that's of any help, I'm still not sure… smile

I just downloaded a utility called “iDraw.” I might be able to do the visual stuff myself. extra help is still welcome.

Okay, of the many snags I've hit, here's one people can easily help out with.

The RPG is composed of about a zillion “calls.” Alot of the gameplay takes place on several individual “cases.” I need some Ideas for cases. Try to stay away from such ideas as Samhain, Gozer, and Vigo….think just a little more low key than that.

Perhaps a story will help:
The story is thus far: (setting: A year after GB2)

Vincent Belmont has recently broken away from ghostbusters HQ with his partner, Gabriel Martin, and bought the franchise rights to start up a ghostbusting business of their own. He couldn't have done this at a worse time. It seems there is something sinister brewing in the paranormal world.
The Ghostbusters have gone to Japan to file a lawsuit against a new Japanese company that deals with the paranormal called “Mikyuu Hunter G,” who use a cosmetic variation of the same equiptment, strange enough. All calls are left up to the only GB branch in New York: Manhattan.
Vincent and Gabe are still living of of fast food, and out of boxes in the decrepid old building that they now call home. Their only friends are 3 resident spooks: Alfred, a doting and mothering butler; T, a floating ball of light with the attitude (and voice) of Chris Rock, and Rizzo, a friendly gremlin who likes to build things rather than destroy things.
On the night of Oct. 25th, a mysterious visitor comes to call. He warns Vincent and Gabriel of the coming days ahead. On the next night, it hits! An onslaught of calls from all over, and only two tired ghostbusters to do anything! Something strange is afoot, however. Is it just Vincent, or is the night EXTREMELY LONG? Is time slowing down? Is it just a coincidence that it is nearing the busiest night of the ghostbusting year, Oct. 31st? What's with the PKE buildup, and the strange people roaming the streets? Why can't the people of New York sleep at night? For that matter, why are the streets so vacant; the people locking themselves indoors?

Vincent and Gabriel are in over their heads. New recruits must be found (, and Nightsquad so far has agreed to be in the game). When the city is in a state of paranormal panic, WHO YA' GONNA CALL???

Well, it seems that someone else is making a GB RPG using the same engine I'm using.

He seems intent on continuing with the project, regardless of me. He ALSO has Bo Holbrook.

I'm sensing a bit of competition, and I don't want to make the same damn game. I think his name is “ghost-bestler.”

I'm continuing with my project, too, but I'm wondering about nightsquad now. I don't want a carbon copy of a game that I'm trying hard to complete. Any suggestions?

I just got in contact with ghost-bestler. It seems that he's willing to HELP and COLLABORATE in making both games. Problem solved with minimum fuss! Let's make 2 great games, guys.

Well, if you'll help me with my card game, I'll certainly help you with the RPG. I could perhaps work on art for the game.

Cinematic artwork is taken care of by me. I just draw and scan.

However, if you're good with animation frames, I could use some animation sets. How good are you at doing animation sets?

Well, Vince, I am not good with netframes or chipsets, but storywise I can help you there. Your story thus far is pretty good, but needs some slight work. For the sinister being, you could have an ethereal thing called Oracle, who is intent on destroying the world.
