How bout that. I'm surprised. Two weeks ago, I saw the original movie on tv. Or was it an adaptation of an older version? The actor who does “the fly” was in it with many other well known artists of the 80's. Now it's on the big screen… again. It leave a weird taste. I don't know if it's a good idea.
The story turns around a plant, from a distant planet, capable of cloning a person during its sleep. The cloning process kills the person while an alien comes to life out of the flower. It's a perfect copy, with all the memories, of the person. The only difference is that the clone has no emotion.
The aliens then starts to produce those plants to take control of our planet. In the old version of the movie, the story ends with washington under their control. That means that a sequel is possible… only if it's not a remake. But I don't think it's worth it.
