Honestly, Who potrays him is less my concern…I am more concern on HOW he is portray. I am afraid that with how Venom was portrayed in Spiderman 3 that he might get frakked over.

Venom was easy to get wrong, all they had to do was forget he speaks in plurals. Mandarin doesn't do anything like that, all you have to do is put ten pieces of jewelry on any Asian guy with long hair and a beard and you've already gotten him entirely right. Beyond that, you can do whatever you want.

That’s not exactly what I meant. What I mean is that it seemed like, to me at least, Venom in the last Spiderman was thrown in as an after thought. They did a decent amount of work in the movie setting up the conflict between Peter and Eric Forema…eerr…I mean…Eddie Brock…and the symbiote suit itself, but it seemed a little rushed (obviously due to the time constraints of the movie format).

Chow Yun Fat was indeed great in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End as Captain Sao Feng. I am ashamed to admit it but I never considered him really. Until that movie I always thought he had too ‘kind’ of a face to be the Mandarin.

You two definitely read my mind. I thought of Chow Yun Fat as well when I thought of an actor for Mandarin.

But yea, you can pretty much give the job to any Asian actor who has long hair and a beard.

My vote still goes to Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. He has a very menacing look too him.

I dunno. I haven't see a Jet Lee Movie since One or whatever it was.

Jet Lee's too young and clean cut looking, I think. The Mandarin needs to be played by an older guy with more dramatic range as an actor.

It's just that easy, you heard it here!

Mjollnir, C.S.A, ladies and gentlemen!

It's uncanny, because when they were casting Tony Stark, the call went out for “Any white actor with a goatee”, and it worked like a charm!

Ken Watanabe is a little bit older than Li. Not by much, though. If you wanted someone a lot older they could go with Sonny Chiba.

Neither of those actors are Chinese, though.
