In review of a lot of comments here, I must wonder if people have too high a expectation in what the MODS can, can't and should be doing. Sure, we set up the rules, but there's no way we can be 100% perfect, for those who, are more pointing out our flaws, we're only human, we're as screwed up as the rest of you.

One thing I can certainly say, is that nobody gave PC a right to ‘haze’ the new members, yet he seems to think he does. I'll admit, yes, I visit the Nightsquad forum, and, unfortunantly see the less constructive stuff there, but there are two sides to every coin, maybe my evidence is ‘biased’, and maybe this is the ‘baby site’. But PC was banned for a reason from GBN, and I'm more then sure that reason is for something he has done, or will do here.

Also, these quote on quote, PC Supporters, they don't scare anyone.

Now, back onto topic, which this has severely swayed.

I believe while we have had our faults, generally speaking I think we've done okay, but it's usually up to the members to let us know how things can be done better, and I'm not saying asking why a certain member was banned, or why a Mod may post stuff that he or she does, but for just informing us that they might want things to be done a little differently.

Yes, see, I decided to start this thread because I saw alot of animosity for some of us mods, some that we didnt deserve. Like Kingy said, We're only human. At least I think I am, lol. I wanted to let people know that we do in fact care about their opinion. I know some mods create topics that even myself look down on. But, hopefully, with this topic, we can sort out the problems. And never fear people, PC is gonna come back, so thingsll be back to normal in less then a week. But please, tell us more, and you guys voting “not so good” and not telling us anything, dont get mad when your ideas arent put into action, because we have no idea what you want. That is all, thanks!

Well said. In the misc. rules, under language and alongside racial slurs, a new point regarding ethnic and religious slurs will soon be added. As a devout United Christian I too wince when I read things like the Lord's name taken in vain. (However, in this this example I try to keep in mind that the writer is only hurting him/herself.) In any case, changes should be made soon. Not to worry.

Some people will most likely accuse me of being biased, as I have a ‘vendetta’ against PC, to be honest, I never had a vendetta against him, I'd even agree that his posts are helpful, if worded appropriately. But the above stuff in most of the cases is not what we want. Somebody (Possibly PC) likened this place to Kindergarten, if so, hazing and getting new members out of certain mannerisms is okay, but how he's done it so far is not the right way.

I will admit this straight, I do have a slight vendetta against PC. But I try not to let it hamper my judgement. And he is a funny guy from time to time. On a similar note,

…No-one is forced to read anything on this board… PC may be negative, but that's life. People aren't perfect, but it doesn't mean you have to suspend them for it. Also, I've read worse insults than ‘idiot’ on this board before, most of which have simply been cleaned up. Again, it seems to me that there's a measure of inconsistency on this board that needs to be resolved, otherwise you'll have more people bitching and moaning about the mod situation…

There are just as many negative people on this board then there are in real life (in porportion of course). It would be a very boring world if everything was purely happy. I'm not saying we should embrace negativity, nor that we are, but not everyone who was a negative opinion is banned or even warned. It is the consistency of unnessecary negativity which gets people banned.

M Bison and Mellie are gone now. I hope you didn't have me in mind when you wrote that, but if you did, that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. But every mod has to start somewhere.

I think we need a new Mod… ProtonCharger! He could be a Paranormal Professor. The kids love him! :-) Look at all the positivity about him. Everyone likes him, but some pretend they don't.

lol no one can tell when anyone is being sarcastic when its on a computer and its hard to convey emotion. You have to take him with a grain of salt I think.

Hmm I don't remember that, but if I did say that, it was about his character, not the actual person.

Sadly its too hard to tell the tone of voice or if the person is being sarcastic on the internet.
