I personally like the vehicle used by ZootFly when they were trying to make a Ghostbusters game. I forget the make and model but it was in few concept art they made and showed up in their “proof of concept” video they made for there version of the game.

It was a European Chrysler 300 station wagon that I was thinking of btw.

naaa just an upgraded ecto-1c or sumthing, if they had a new car in the 3rd movie it would ruin it in my eyes, cuz we love the original ecto 1

There's a simple joke at the heart of Ghostbusters, and that is that the equipment looks pretty knackered and rubbish from the get go. A sleek ectomobile will just give you that Citroen commercial in excelcis. I wouldn't mind a fleet of old caddy ectomobiles, maybe stopping with mid-70's models, but anything uber-modern would just feel wrong.

Personally, I think with GB3, they should have the Ecto-1 be obliterated… but have it go out in a blaze of glory. Maybe something like, they escaping the supposed “Manhellton” on a bridge and a burst of hellfire causes it to flip foreward on its top. After that is when they reveal the new, sleek Ecto 2.

But then again that's my imagination running wild.

Crimson…destroying the Ecto-1?

I know I personally hated it when in Star Trek they blew up the old Enterprise…I don't think I would like seeing Ecto-1 go the same route.
