…I came up with a Hummer design for my first post here:


TOOOOOOOOOOO Sweet!

Oh my god I hate both of you!

Check the concept drawings for the original cars and you will see what the intended goal of the Ectomobile would be.

Think of it less as a glorified muscle car, and more as a utlities vehicle. Something kind of crummy but kept in nice condition. Nothing brand-new.

And no SUVs

Back off man. I'm a conceptionalist. And “hate” is a four letter word that's not used around here.

My reasoning for using a Hummer is because they could store a mini containment unit in the back. PLUS something tells me that a Hummer would get at least 6 mpg compared to the 5 that the Ecto 1 had.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

A hummer would be a good utilitarian Ecto because of its size, strength, and military like capabilities. I would expect if ghostbusters went national, or worldwide they would all have fleets of the same vehicle. Rather it be military grade hummers or custom vehicles like ambulances or swat trucks. And I would expect some kind of containment unit installed into the new Ectos, which would look tight coming out the side. All new installations would have to be fitted with the ability to transfer into main containment units.
