The New Timeline and Ghostbusters 2

To be fair, the RGB likenesses were only on case studies which in the end were never used, and the only appearance of a RGB design was an injoke at Egon's hair.

Now, of course, I could be wrong on the whole ‘GB II rights’ issue, but either way, 88 MPH isn't intending to do any form of an adaption of Ghostbusters II according to what they've been saying, and while this does come as a dissapointment…to a degree, I think they could probably add a better spin on it…but I can more then understand their not wanting to subject themselves to a fixed set of future events.

Don't forget the basic design of the containment unit-it has a very RGB quality to it aswell.

It's the same theory as the Evil Dead comic books…they picked a stationary point and crafted from there. The feeling and the theme is still there but they took creative license. Absolute purists will find this blashemy but it's still a solid GB product and I'LL support it because a lot of love went into it. It was made possible by FANS….there is no marketing beast PUSHING for it..no movie, no re-release…it's a toe in the water to see if the property is hot. We all show that it IS then we might get that movie and maybe this or that…Remember GB extreme? That came out of nowhere and we all ate it up…mostly.

I wouldn't mind seeing the story of GB2 worked into the timeline of the comic. It could unfold in a totally different way than the film did. Yeah, GB2 was below par, but many of the new concepts it introduced to the GB universe should be introduced. Such as:
Gigi-meters
Psychomagnetheric slime
Slime throwers
The impact of human emotions and their effect on PKE(already started to touch on this in GB #3)

Finally, Vigo the Carpathian is a great villian, and he deserves to make an appearance in the comic. It would be a shame to waste him.

I hope we'll get to see RGB villians. The Boogeyman would be awesome to see in that comic. As would Samhain, the Peoplebusters, and the evil spectral RGBs. Ooo I can't wait (^_^)
