Ecto-1 and Riddle have the best idea… the cool logo for PROMOS and OPENING only and have the regular always..

The logo should be the same it was in GB1 and GB2…

Although methinks it'd look good with the Ghost guy in the logo to be wearin' shades and in the other hand doing the “Rock On” sign.

I agree that patches and logos in the movie should be original. For promos and the titles, I like the “III” slamming down like a jail cell on Fatso, but then I think it should “swirl” counter-clockwise, the top and bottom horizontal lines connect, have the first and last “I” bend, and form the familiar “No Ghost” circle; a morph effect that lasts a few seconds.

logically the car and building would still have the two finger ghost unless maybe the GB's have ceased trading again? i always said that GB2 shud have used the irginal logo though an only used the 2 fingers one for promos and things, but for the promos of GB3 simply use a 3 fingered ghost it keeps the quality altho i liked the idea of roman numerals as bars

I was arguing this point earlier today on another thread in the general section of the forum. There is absolutely no point in changing the original logo. It is perfect as it is. To this day I still hate the fact that they did it with Ghostbusters 2. The sequels logo looked tacky and stupid. It also made no sence that they actually used it in the movie. I only hope that if a ghostbusters three is made it will simply show the original sign along with the number three written in Roman numerals.

They way I imagine the GB3 poster to look like is a black background with the number “3” made up of many, many, original No ghost logos. If there was GB3, i would like the old logo used in the film itself.

The Ghostbusters II logo makes perfect sense in the movie. I already gave a rationale for it in another post. There also could be others.

I like the original logo, but to tell you the truth I like the GB2 logo better. If there is to be a GB3, of course they would need a new logo.

I agree with the posters who suggested the ghost be holding up 3 fingers instead of two. Makes sense to me.

But, since he is in a different position in the GB2 logo over the GB1 logo, he should perhaps be in yet another position for a GB3 logo.

Three fingers up, slightly different position.

The three-fingers up would symbolize the third GB movie outside the film, and inside the film would symbolize the “W” sign, as someone already mentioned.
