The Peter Kong Uniform

Ok, I'm going to get started on this. You see the photo sig below, that will be the uniform I'll be making. (adding some personal touches and other things) Who said you couldn't be creative and mix Ghostbusters with Zelda & Spider-Man? One question, should I add the webbing under the arms like Spidey, or ditch them? And any suggestions on making the actual costume? I'm thinking of beginning with the goggles first, then do the mask, and then the Link cap. And, does anyone know where I can find patches or knows what to use to make them?

I will be the first web-slinging slime kicking sword bearing super hero on the block!

Okay this is just MY opinon, and i like to voice it a lot but if your gonna make a GB costume.uhh don't mix it with Spider-Man and Zelda…it's a great offence to me and who knows how many other people. I know im commig off sounding like an jerk but jebus man if you gonna do orginal do somthing like make your suits Red, or some other color out of the normal, just don't do black the GBVA's official color.

I can't see how mixing the three would be a problem or being offensive. It's not like I'm trying to make everyone do the same thing. I want to be different. Now I can see if I were really putting true offensive material on the costume it would be bad and hated, but adding two other cool popular characters isn't.

Be differnt, not stupid. Havign the No-Ghost logo on it would be offensive to people whom hold it to heart. Like me for example, and seeing the Filmation's GB logo on the same constume is even more deadly. Your heading for a wrong turn and im giving yiou the heads up, but don't listen to me if you don't want to, im just tellign you how alot of people will feel. If they dont feel this way i ask them to please correct me and i will issue a formal apology.

The reason you can't do a cross between Spidey, GB, and LoZ, is because it would look stupid.

The designs for each property are all very unique, and clash quite badly when amalgamated.

Another reason GB fans haven't really strayed from the OG uniform could be because GB fans want a replica uniform, not a bizarre-looking mix of cool stuff. EXAMPLE: a big Star Wars fan making a Darth Vader replica costume wouldn't cross Vader with Batman and Samus from Metroid to achieve the desired effect.

And to some fans changing any detail, no matter how minute, on a replica ANYTHING is akin to blasphemy.

But I'm still going with silly looking.

perhaps I could do something else… have 3 seperate costumes. This may be a little farfetched, but somewhere on the suit there would be a button of some sort that could change the outfit. You know, the suit begins as the standard GB flightsuit. The next click would make a Spider-Man suit, and then the next a Kokiri tunic. Or even better to make it more replica, instead of a button, there could be a remote control hidden somewhere. Would that be better. It still would be the same idea, and still would use the original outfits. In a sense, this is like Barry Allen (Silver-Age Flash). He had a ring that he used to hide his costume. I could do the same thing in a sense. I can't hide the suits in a ring, but in the storyline I could. And I can perhaps make replicas of the 3 costumes. That shouldn't be offensive in any way. Instead of 1 combined suit, 3 replicas.

I just thought of a place to hide the button. The web-shooters. All 3 uniformshave gloves of some sort. Spider has the red webbed gloves, the GBS have the black rubber gloves, and Link wears brown guantlets. The web-shooters are underneath where they can't be seen. Now I have one problem with this. I now have to figure out a way to hold everything when the costume changes. Not a biggy, I just have to come up with something clever.

One last thing, I'm ditching the Filmation part of the costume. I'll still make replicas of the equipment they had, but I'm not including anything associated with it on any of the costumes.

Oh comeon guys! I think it's an unusual but also interesting idea seeing as I like GBs and Spidey, I say go for it. Do what you want, you can still make a normal uniform as well, you could even personalise the logo, make the ghost into the picture that you're using as your sig pic or another design.

Hmmmmm…. I agree it would look odd…. But prehaps if you changed it around a little it would look better….
