A bit of irony for you: I just found out that the villainous Martian in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is named Voldar, and I have a villainous Ghost Wizard named Voltar in my photonovel. I didn't know anything about SCCtM when I started this thing.

I got a new digital camera in the days leading up to New Year's! Wa-hey!!

This means I'll be going through and filling in as many holes as I possibly can over the weekend. The good news is that I have almost ALL of the firehouse shooting done, and I'll work on the “big black stage” stuff (Macy's, the graveyard, and the Cinema Ghost sequence) tomorrow. I've run into a few problems with the Action Figure Theatre sets, so I'll take those home and work on those shots as pickups for Monday and Tuesday.

Finally, it's coming along great!

I'm picking up some really good steam right now! The Cinema Battle is at least shot and in the can, so I can scratch that off my list.

As you can see, the library scene is complete, as is just about ALL OF THE FIREHOUSE STUFF! Whew! I think I'll have the whole thing ready for Wednesday at the latest.

It'd have been really nice if I had had all this completed for Christmas Day, but real life got in the way. Fortunately, I've been making up for lost time quite nicely.

All that's left is the Graveyard scene, the Macy's scene, and the Sewer scene, all of which require sets that can be easily broken down and set up elsewhere, so I'll take care of those pickup shots at home tomorrow and Tuesday.

I'm somewhere around 97% complete with this thing. Just ONE more set to finish…the Sewer set. I don't know exactly how I'm going to build it, but I'll soldier on.

Production is wrapped. Don't expect me to do another photonovel anytime in the forseeable future, as production of this one was so difficult, BUT I will be doing some new things with it over the summer. I think I'll make an actual video of the ECTO-1A as it leaves the firehouse for the first time. Naturally, it will involve hooking a fishing rod to the lower chassis and pulling it through the open firehouse doors.

Well, I had a Christmas present all ready for everyone here when they got to the end of the story. Since I haven't finished the story, I'll just unwrap it and leave it here for all of you to enjoy.
