I know I once started a thread about The Real Ghostbusters magazines. As their was very little response and I'm starting a new with a fresh update I wanted to start a new thread. However, if its deemed necessary to merge the threads, so be it.

Going back 3 years at least I had scanned all The Real Ghostbusters magazines I had. Some were won on eBay, others were given to me. Originally their was excitement (er from me) because I thought I had issue 1. What I really had was issue 2 from Fall ‘89. Once we correctly identified the premiere issue as Summer 1989 the search and quest began.

Unfortunately the premiere issue never surfaced either from other fans or for sale. Until late last year. I was able to buy the 2 missing RGB issues I didn’t have.

Last month I scanned the premiere issue cover-to-cover and cleaned up every page to make it look like it just came off the magazine stand. Thumbnails were created, added to the new RGB site (Ectocontainment™) and the 300dpi (hi res) pages was uploaded to the server.

All pages were added individually as we weren’t able to create a useable PDF file. If anyone is able to make one, please email me.

I'm proud to present for the first time (and to my knowledge not available anywhere else on-line) the premiere issue of The Real Ghostbusters magazine.

Very cool. Thanks for posting. The only one that I was ever able to get my hands on was a Summer issue where the cover had them on the beach busting a pirate ghost.

You're welcome. Most of the other issues that were scanned are still up at the old GBI RGB sub site. I'm planning on rescanning them as I my old scanner was ancient in the late 2000s.

On the note of making a PDF file, you should give PDFill PDF Tools. It's a free piece of kit that has a number of different functions for creating a PDF. You can merge and seperate pages from an existing PDF, or you can put images into a PDF and other things.

This wekend I worked on and put up the Winter ‘90 issue of The Real Ghostbusters magazine. This issue should have been up before Spring 1990 It’s been corrected.

Busy, motivated weekend. I worked on and uploaded the final 2 issues (unless one surfaces from a storage jar in a cave) of The Real Ghostbusters Magazines.
