The Real Ghostbusters Music Petition: Please Sign!

For some reason, 30 sounds about right to me. (*_*) I think it had been mentioned before about trying to cut various bits from episodes to put together longer versions like someone did with the RGB theme without lyrics.

That's what used to be done with wrestling themes on a website I remember. I'd love to hear what they have to say about the tunes though! If there is a way it can be done either to be bought or just made available as I don't think there's any money to lose on it with it not being available. (^_^)

30's a pretty good estimate, I just tallied up the number of tracks in Ghosts ‘R’ Us and there were 21 original pieces in total, and some were even repeated twice. That's a lot of music for 23 minutes.

Of course should we wind up replicating the tunes, I suggest only one or two ‘repeats’* are done.


* Phrase I've coined, for where a tune had been produced in such a way that it could be extended in length by repeating a particular segment of the song.

I just recieved this response from the webmaster at Shuki Levys official website:

Hi Matthew,

Shuki has recently turned down several interview requests because he is
in post production for his new film, “Aussie and Ted.” It will be
three months minimum before he'll be able to respond to any requests like
this. I will happily pass the questions along, but it will likely be
at least three months before he can answer them.

Sorry I can't be of more help at this time. If you send me a reminder
in three months I will try and get the questions answered for you.

Sorry to hear that a difficult process has only gotten harder. I hope he still goes through with the interview in three months time.

This is good news. Okay it'll take a while but it does look as though the questions which I have written up will be answered by the man himself.

Listening to a few more episode and putting up a few more songs on youtube, thirty is probably a bit low :-) Man oh man there were a lot of these. Most of them really good. I had forgotten a few of my favorites.

It was up. I was gonna mute that track and play the echo-y part on guitar but decided not to. Maybe I'll try. I could probably get it to sound more like the show if I worked at it again. (*winston)

There are a few others I might put up and I have been working on a few but I'm not really thrilled with the way they're turning out for the most part. A few completed ones I made got lost being stored online before I put them up so I don't think I saved them. (*egon)
