LOL I think that we can safely say that Shuki Levys Real Ghostbusters score was never released. However his original recording must still be in the posession of Saban Music Group.
I did some more digging earlier and found something which may aid us in our quest to uncover these ancient treasures lol
After going to the Saban Music Group site I found the senior vice president of Saban Music Group, her name is Teri Nelson Carpenter.
http://www.saban.com/html/team/carpenter.htmlAs you can see there is no contact address on her page or on the entire Saban website for that matter.
I then went to Google and did a search for “Teri Nelson Carpenter” and found her name registered at this site:
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/4/7A1/A38I am now going to register with Linkedin and try to send her a message. I will ask her if Saban does indeed own this music (which I'm 99.9% sure they do) and also ask her if this music will ever be released. I will also let her know the demand for this music from the fans. Let's see if she responds. It will be very interesting to hear what she says. I'll post her response here as soon as I get one.
I have just thought of another idea which may be a possibility in getting the music released from Saban. Supposing they don't have any plans in ever releasing the music on CD or making it available for download. There is one other way which is a long shot.
My proposal is, what if us as a group bought the music, the original recordings off Saban Music Group? Everything has a price and Shuki Levys music is doing nothing in storage except collecting dust and cobwebs. Saban aren't earning anything from it. If I was Saban and I recieved an offer I'd be interested. If we asked Saban their price for the entire collection of Shuki Levys recordings and they cost say $5000 (a complete guess) we could try to get a group of fans together to split the cost between us. For instance 500 fans = $10 each. We'd have to decide which fan collects the recordings. That fan would also have to potentially get the recordings cleaned up and then transfered to a format which we can all listen to. Once that is done we would still have the original recordings which we as a group would have investment money in. If we wanted to we could resell it on ebay and get our money back. It's just an idea, another possibility.
