Hi Ghostheads, I've got the motion picture soundtracks of Ghostbusters 1 and 2 but I was wondering if there was one available for the animated series (The Real Ghostbusters, Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters and Extreem Ghostbusters)?

Thanks in advance, James.

Are we talking the vocal songs from the first series? (The Boogieman, Hometown Hero) or the background score music?

The vocal music, recorded and performed by Tahiti is available for download from either Spook Central or GBFans.

The background music is not currently available, but fans are making efforts to try rectify that.

I got the extreme ghostbusters theme d/l yesterday myself (such an awesome theme!) but haven't found the Real ghostbusters themes yet. Was the Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters theme different? I don't think I saw many of these episodes other than 1 I believe was featured on the double DVD release.

I didn't want to get specific. :p I learned my lesson from the “Ghostbusters Sims Objects”.

It's… it's a lot cheesier and rock-esque compared to the version of “Ghostbusters” the cartoon started with.

Okay, this has been bugging me since I downloaded the music:

Whatever happened to Tahiti? Where are they now? Did they ever try more albums outside of RGB, or was this their first and only claim to fame?

I tried to find some background information on them, to no avail.

Who is Tahiti? I've never heard of them before. (*_*)

Tahiti was a music group that recorded the vocal songs that appeared in the first season of The Real Ghostbusters.

It's also where Venkman wanted to go on holiday in The Devil to Pay.

A bit of basic researching has revealed the following info:

Apparently the group's proper name, is Tahiti 80, which has done stuff as recently as 2004. After doing the Real Ghostbusters soundtrack, Tonya Townsend had a brief acting career before vanishing completely into obscurity.

Teren Perry on the other hand has managed to keep a online presence, constituting a couple of Myspace pages which contain some of her non-RGB music.

More info can be found at Spook Central.
