Tonya Townsend gave up a contract in her early 20's that would have most likely led her to stardom so that she could get married and raise a family.

That's interesting. Funny that the remaining singer doesn't reference her RGB stuff, but I guess that's somewhat niche on a resume.

It's… it's a lot cheesier and rock-esque compared to the version of “Ghostbusters” the cartoon started with.

I believe the word you are looking for is Grunge. In the last 90's when the series was first out…I personally thought it was cool and kick ass…however since then I have gone rather retro with my tastes in music and I realize how wrong I was

It would have been nice for them to include all the RGB music on a cd packed with the RGB boxset. That would have been great.

Tahiti was a music group that recorded the vocal songs that appeared in the first season of The Real Ghostbusters.

It's also where Venkman wanted to go on holiday in The Devil to Pay.

A bit of basic researching has revealed the following info:

Apparently the group's proper name, is Tahiti 80, which has done stuff as recently as 2004. After doing the Real Ghostbusters soundtrack, Tonya Townsend had a brief acting career before vanishing completely into obscurity.

Teren Perry on the other hand has managed to keep a online presence, constituting a couple of Myspace pages which contain some of her non-RGB music.

More info can be found at Spook Central.

Thanks for the information Kingpin…

Why's that? :-(

The first paragraph of the first page in a google says “Tahiti 80 are individually known as, Xavier Boyer, Médéric Gontier, Sylvain Marchand & Pedro Resende. We're a French band based in Rouen, Normandy.”

I don't think they're the same group.
