No offense to anyone, but NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I think that the original logo should always be used, no matter what. I've never cared for “new” GB logos. They're just confusing. They don't make any sense when you look at them.
Everyone please take a good look at the original logo. Now that logo makes perfect sense when you look at it, and think “No-Ghost”. Because that's what it is, a “No-Ghost” logo. They're Ghostbusters, not Ghost-Peace-makers!
The original logo always has been, and always will be perfect.
Now take a look at the GB II and so called GB III logos. Those logos make absolutely no sense at all, when you look at them. A Ghost behind a “No” sign, smiling with a leg sticking out, while holding up it's fingers, representing two or three. This logo doesn't seem to have anything to do with a “No-Ghost” type of company (Ghostbusters, duh!
). I mean, the Ghost is smiling, it's leg is out, and it's holding up several fingers. What does that have to do with Ghostbusters? Nothing. It's confusing to look at them.
Anyways, according to Louis Tully, GBI reverted back to it's original logo in 1990, to prevent confusion, and because the original “No-Ghost” logo had become an internationally recognized symbol.
And before I close, let me state my theory about the logo. I'm 99% sure that they only used the GB II logo temporarily, is so that everyone would know that they were back in business. It was a “sign” that they were back. After they got lots of publicity, saved NY and the World from Vigo the Carpathian, and had their ceremony on Liberty Island they changed their logo back to the original. And they'll keep the original. After all, they're still in business in GB III, and they have expanded into franchises.
So the original “No-Ghost” logo stays. No if's and's or but's. Case closed. End of discussion. :s
:d
BTW, did anyone see Casper?
