Okay, just an update. The Download center was offline for a couple of days (thank you for the 75+ emails I got asking what happened) while I re-organized some things and changed the main page layout ever so slightly. And the new layout is being totally destroyed by the fact that I have placed a poll dead center on the front page, once again asking users what new section they want most. The last winner from six months ago was MP3s, and I think that section has been rather successful, so come on out, vote, and start downloading!

For the poll, I had to add my 2 cents.
If Episodes win, and you do put them up, make them both downloadable, and streaming, please, or heavily compress them so they won't take
forever to download. On KaZaa, a usual episode is 80 MB, Hopefully, you could get it down to 5!

For the record, if episodes is the winner, and it looks like it will be, I will NOT be putting up every episode, probably only five to start, and then maybe one a week for five weeks. Sorry, but the years it would take on my 56k modem…
What you will see will be roughly 5MB files. They will be downloadable, NOT streaming, and in an undetermined format. Right now I'm considering MPEG1 (ready to burn directly to a VCD) or Quicktime. They will have the same image size (viewable area, I guess you'd call it) as those that were on GBN, but the quality will be much better.
There will still be bandwidth issues, but unless someone wants to pony up the cash for a paid server, there's nothing I can do. But hey, the bright side is all you 56k users will be able to get some episodes at last.

Well, if they are all downloadable, but that small, please do that, then! I could get the most of the eps I want, in a good-enough quality! My 56k can handle it! I hope….
Man, I started D/Ling “Citizen Ghost” about a week ago, on Kazaa, and I've gotten half-way today. It's 80 MB's! I've been D/Ling off and on.

It's semi-official! I have started work on the episodes section. I have a few test episodes, and am trying different codecs. What you will probably see is roughly 5MB zipped files. The actual video files will probably be around 7MB. This gives me the best quality possible, while keeping the file small.
As long as everything goes according to plan, and I don't have any serious setbacks, I could see the episodes section launching as early as next week…

definitly a kickass site you have going. one of the best fan fistes out there…mainly because you are giving stuff away. its a site that you could look for..when needing to…unofficially download something..

Now, for the record, with the current file types I am looking at for the episodes, expect it to take about 45 minutes to an hour to download an episode on a 56k modem. Otherwise, I have to drop the quality so much that it is unbearable.
