They didn't meet until College, though. They'd have to be separate movies/whatever in order to avoid screwing up continuity in the GB universe.

Spin off- it's their kids, that way you're not constrained to using the exact personalities, and no questions would be raised.

they got really lucky, 4 class 7's in a row paid for it.

Ray, maybe that's true…but everywhere except GB2 (GB1, RGB, even XGB) it's obvious Egon could have kids any time he wants. Mouthy, red-headed kids…
