in response to kingpin, dont many of the cast feel averse to a new ghostbusters. weaver, murray, im not sure about reitman, but if i were him id take a guaranteed success like ghostbusters right now, and moranis isnt acting anymore is he?

The last thing I remember him being in was the Animated Movie Brother Bear (Where be played a Canadian Moose named Rutt) and the D2D sequel Brother Bear 2

According to a interview done with Dan last December, Bill's willing to lend his voice to a CGI Ghostbusters film, but not star in a live action one. Dan also said in said interview that “everyone is back, except Rick”, although a recent interview with Weaver has her saying it won't be happening. Not that she's integral to things.

By last account, Rick had retired from acting due to the death of his wife.

Also I was hearing from various sites around the introweb that he had starting singing as well….don't know how much Validatiy there is in that..

Hmm..well if it is that Sony wont let it happen,why not give it to another studio? Is Sony willing to give it up?

Also if there was a GB3(live action or CGI) do we really need Rick Moranis? Dont get me wrong I like him and everything but was he a such a vital character to the series? IMO he was only there for people to laugh at the nerdy guy.I know his character always wanted to be a ghostbuster but if there was a GH3 I dont think Id like him as one of the crew…too goofy to be a ghostbuster.

I can pretty much guarantee they wouldn't, they've got too much of a stranglehold on the franchise to let it go and make money for another studio… so I bet you it's a case they'd rather not make any more money from a third Ghostbusters film rather than allow a different studio to take the franchise from them and profit off of it.

They wouldn't, neither would they need Dana if they couldn't bring back Sigourney Weaver or get in a soundalike to voice her. And then, if she wasn't willing to take part, they might have to redesign her appearance so as not to need her likeness rights.

Thats one of the stupidest things a studio could do…they dont wanna let the license go but yet they dont want to make money off of it for themselves either?

I think Dana is more of a vital character since she is Peter's girlfriend(or wife now) and then theres Oscar which pretty much makes them a family.

Live Action or not Dana should be there…whether or not she can be played by Sigourney Weaver.

We have a bigger chance of a Ghostbusters 1 than getting a Ghostbusters 3.

As in remake. Give it 10-20 years, it'll happen. In HOLLYwood, not just Bollywood.

i've thought (or should i say ‘worried’) about that too, but you gotta figure that if Murray won't let them make another movie, then hopefully he wouldn't let a remake happen.
