I'm guessing the weight of the trap and the complexity of the trap really dont make a difference in this situation. Wouldnt you say that thing would be heavy to carry on your belt while not in use or is this for photo purposes only?

I am also guessing this fogger will be detachable at any given time and place, correct?

Several hundred dollars for those.. even in the thousands.. for some.. that pencil fogger is mostlikely a thousand or more..

eBay would be a good word to fit in here at the moment, otherwise just by smoke grenades and dont worry about the fog machine. Its cheaper to maintain and cheaper to buy, after all you said this would just be for photos.

One thing i have noticed about propping, your money dissipears faster than food at an italian weading. I recomend dry ice, i know it a little dangeruose but it's what i will be using to get my trap to smoke.

I know that the money goes quick. All I've done is make a flightsuit and it went pretty quick. I'm trying to come up with some now to get a trap. I'm going to have to agree with the smoke grenade deal.. It seems a lot easier.
