North Carolina is one of our choices, need to know where I could find a job and a house with a large basement and/or garage so I can set up my FX shop - prop building is a part time job.

I live in plmouth NC and it might be nice for ya. There are plenty of houses with basements and/or barns for you to use. Plymouth is a small town nice and humble. The closet Wal-Mart is 20 miles away the closest lowes 30 miles away and the closest mall 50 miles away. We are only 2 hours from the beach and have a great river (the roanoke) and also the albemarle sound if you like the water. If you wanted a small town i say this is the spot.
Norm, your thinking of moving?! That would put GBVA the soul franchise in virginia, we didnt want to see NOVaGB go, oh well, good luck to you in NC man!!

Update: now we're thinking to stick around the “beltway” for a while. I'm tired of Washington DC and the crap that's being generated in the region (I'm not talking about Bush). The one thing that's keeping me here is the Fairfax school system, the best of the worst in the East coast, we have a little two year old girl to think about.

here in Troy, Michigan we have huge but expensive houses, and an alright educational system- I hate it because it's stupid & racist, but you might like it

Hey, NC rocks, I live in King, NC 20 minutes from Winston-Salem, 45 minutes from Greensboro, and 45 minutes from Mt. Airy (aka Mayberry in the Andy Griffith show)
I'm just starting out, i've started a pack, i've gotten about a fifth of it done if that much, its hard to work on it while in college, i should finish it this summer. I'm looking for other people in NC too.
